The Fourth of July holiday celebration on the Esplanade – The Boston Pops performs and the fireworks are spectacular. But plan your day and get there early for the best seats. Or show up at the last minute and stand anywhere along the Charles River for this annual event

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Not only is it a great museum but it is also the setting for the world’s largest unsolved art heist

All Saints Way - Nestled in the North End of Boston, there is an alley like none other. Behind an iron gate you can see the Wall of Saints, portraits ascending up the exterior brick wall of the adjoining building

Boston Athenaeum - a unique combination of library, museum, and cultural center in a magnificent landmark building

The Courtyard Tea Room at the Boston Public Library – even if you don’t do high tea – this hidden garden at the BPL is incredible
Helpful tips while visiting:

Avoid Storrow Drive on Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend – college move in and move out weekends

Don’t drive in Boston – we are very walkable city and have good public transportation – driving and parking in Boston is crazy

Wear comfortable shoes! Style is important but Boston is a very walkable city – so correct footwear is important

Make sure you have cash when you visit the North End – many of the small businesses are “cash only” in this must-see neighborhood

Don’t wear any Yankees gear – unless you’re prepared for lots of dirty looks
